Every dimension can be felt and described as a vibration or frequency that takes on the form of a wave. Each dimension vibrates at its own identifiable frequency and can be typically identified with a signature, i.e. a sign. Dimensions overlap and can have a residual effect on an observer. Some dimensions cause turbulence, i.e. separation or dissonance, others are more harmonic in character, quality and effect.
Octaves are composed of a series of dimensions, typically expressed as a band of frequencies arranged in a progressive series of wavelengths. Each octave is composed of a series of vibrations that together classify and qualify it. Every dimension, note and octave classify an energy in motion (wavelength) that carries with it vitality, light and information.

ardor, zeal, verve, enthusiasm, zest, vibrancy, spark, sparkle, effervescence,
exuberance, buoyancy, perkiness, sprightliness; strength, stamina, forcefulness,
power, might, potency, dynamism, drive, push.
Awareness is attained symbolically.
In reference to the design process:
There will be times during the design process when there is a need for a transition between the transformation and translation process, a transformation between the transition and translation process, and a translation between the transition and transformation process.
The design process is far from linear, but multidimensional in context and content. Design is both a noun and a verb. Design is both simple and complex. Design suggests perpetual motion, action, progress and evolution. Design consciousness infers that you as an observer and creator are aware of this to be true. Design is change.

metamorphosize; shift, switch, jump, leap, progress, gradate, develop, evolve, transfigure, fluctuate, mutate, transmute.
transformation: change, alter, modify, convert, revise, amend, metamorphize,
transfigure, evolve, mutate, remodel, reshape, remold, redo, reconstruct, rebuild, recast,
reorganization, rearrangement, reordering, reshuffling, restyle, rejig, rework,
renew, revamp, renovate, overhaul, remake, revolutionize,
transmute.

Every sign possesses a signature that can be perceived, sensed, identified, discerned, experienced and felt by virtue of observation. Any transition, translation or transformation of energy in motion will likewise portray their signatures in a symbolic manner. Likened to every octave, together they create a portal into and between dimensions. Together they give precedence to the power of the design process. And when composed in a balanced and harmonic fashion, they bring music to our ears.
